Michael Davis
Founder & CEO
Homegrown is Michael's answer to the absolute bullshit his parents had to experience as they, at first, struggled to scale their family business. Michael spent eight years at Deloitte Consulting, including two years working for the CEO's team. After Deloitte, he helped scale Ally.io (acquired by Microsoft), before joining the venture firm Overline. Michael founded Homegrown in the Summer of 2023.Michael serves on the board of Bucknell University's Management School. He lives in Atlanta with his family.

Founder & CEO
Michael is the founder and CEO of Homegrown, inspired by his family's decades-long struggle to access growth capital for their business. Before launching Homegrown in 2023, he held leadership roles at Ally.io (acquired by Microsoft), Overline VC, and Monitor Deloitte. A former member of Deloitte’s CEO team, he also built systems for state governments. Michael studied Economics and Classics at Bucknell University, where he now serves on the management school board. He lives in Atlanta with his family and is a lifelong metalhead.
Ian Gloer
Chief Operating Officer
With a decade of experience in working capital financing, Ian brings deep industry expertise and a proven track record to Homegrown. Previously, he launched and led a successful business funding brokerage, facilitating over $100 million in financing for clients nationwide. Leveraging his expertise in building client relationships and driving business growth, Ian now serves as Chief Operating Officer, focused on driving growth, optimizing processes, and delivering outstanding value to clients and partners.

Alisha believes small businesses are the backbone of American communities. She brings 7+ years as CFO for venture-backed startups—sharpening financial strategy and growth skills—plus nearly a decade in Procter & Gamble’s finance and accounting management roles, where she built a strong FP&A foundation. During COVID-19 she guided hundreds of brick-and-mortar owners through PPP, EIDL, and ERC relief programs. She now lives in Atlanta with her husband, two rambunctious kids, and their dog.

Michael Chen is Head of Strategy and Operations at Homegrown, driven by a passion for supporting brick-and-mortar SMBs. He spent four years at Deloitte Consulting, working in banking, capital markets, corporate real estate, and impact investing. As a founding member of Deloitte’s Sustainability Strategy & Transformation practice, he co-published thought leadership with the World Economic Forum. Earlier, Michael advised rural small businesses through the SBDC in Pennsylvania, an experience that shaped his lasting commitment to business growth and community impact.

After 20 years of building businesses himself, Allen knows just how tough — and rewarding entrepreneurship can be. That’s why he loves being at Homegrown; supporting founders and small business owners on their own journeys. Allen’s career has spanned starting and exiting businesses in software, hosting, waste management, coffee and SMB lending, and he brings that hands-on experience to every relationship he builds at Homegrown.
Kevin Kim
Head of Partnerships
With 18 years in financial services across equity and debt, Kevin brings deep expertise in capital and growth. Raised in a family of multi-generational brick-and-mortar business owners in Hawaii, Kevin understands the grit behind success. In 2011, he and his wife launched a Sugarcoat Nails & Beauty, scaling it to 20+ Southeast locations. Kevin is passionate about Homegrown’s mission, and he thrives on connecting with entrepreneurs and supporting their journeys to build enduring, community-rooted businesses.
Andrew Yi
UX / UI Designer
Andrew Yi is a UX and industrial designer focused on, future-forward design that blends technology, storytelling, and real-world impact. With a foundation in physical and digital prototyping from SCAD, Andrew has led cross-functional design work for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, Homegrown, and NASCAR, spanning accessible hardware, XR interfaces, and mobility-centered products. Outside of design, he finds inspiration in skateboarding, running, and exploring cities on foot.
Cole Thompson
UX / UI Designer
Cole Thompson brings experience designing for brands like Porsche and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID). He specializes in creating experiences that drive business growth and improve the investor and owner journey. At Homegrown, Cole blends UX design, digital strategy, and business thinking to strengthen relationships, increase transparency, and support sustainable scaling. His work focuses on clear communication, intuitive systems, and helping Homegrown’s partners and investors feel confident as they grow, expand, and build enduring businesses.
Aarya Bapat
UX / UI Designer
Aarya Bapat is a UX/UI designer passionate about human-centered solutions that bridge branding, technology, and experience. With a background in graphic design and years of cross-disciplinary collaboration at SCAD, Aarya has led projects for Deloitte, Fender, Mayor’s Office, and ADID. Her work spans UX research, interface design, and motion-driven storytelling. Outside of design, Aarya finds inspiration in painting, museums, and everyday exploration. She currently lives in Atlanta, where she’s focused on launching her design career.
